This Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, and share personal information obtained in connection with your participation in the Self-Assessment of the Distinction that Generates Equality and Peaceful Coexistence in Higher Education Institutions.

Our Surveys are intended for individuals over 18 years of age. Completing the surveys contained in the DIGEI Platform is voluntary. If you choose to complete the Self-Assessment through the DIGEI Platform: www.digei.net, you agree to the use of the Personal Information collected in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

Will collect personal data, which will be used exclusively for academic and research purposes within the framework of the project entitled "Distinctive that Generates Equality and Peaceful Coexistence in Higher Education Institutions (DIGEI).

The personal data collected will be protected in accordance with the General Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Obligated Subjects and other applicable regulations. Simetría, depending on the information required for the analysis, monitoring, and use of the DIGEI Platform, may collect personal data from the person who will use the DIGEI Platform, such as: First name(s), last name, mother's last name, email address, state, municipality, country, occupation, telephone number, address, institution, sector to which they belong, job title, survey responses, and, where applicable, images or video recordings taken during field interviews, without requiring the provision of data.

In this regard, we inform you that the Personal Data you provide will be treated and safeguarded under the strictest security measures that guarantee its confidentiality, based on the principles of legality, purpose, loyalty, consent, quality, proportionality, information, and responsibility, enshrined in the General Data Protection Law.

The personal data that will be collected includes: name, age, gender, telephone number, email address, position, address of the Higher Education Institution, survey responses, and, where applicable, images or video recordings during field interviews.

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties without your express consent, except in the cases provided for by the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

You have the right to know what personal data we have about you, what we use it for, and the conditions of use we provide (Access). You also have the right to request the correction of your personal information if it is outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete (Rectification). We delete it from our records or databases when we believe it is not being used in accordance with the principles of the regulations (Cancellation); and we object to the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Objection) ARCO rights.

To exercise your ARCO rights, you can send a request to contacto@digei.net, providing your full name, a copy of an official identification document, and specifying the right you wish to exercise.

To protect the confidentiality and security of the personal data collected, the following measures will be implemented:

 

The data will be anonymized and de-identified, meaning it will not be associated with your name or email address in connection with the survey or study responses.

Technical and organizational measures will be implemented to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of personal data throughout the lifecycle of the research project.

 

From the moment the personal data that led to its processing is collected, it will be retained for a maximum period of two years, in accordance with the applicable provisions. Once this period expires, it must be deleted and/or destroyed from any media on which it is stored. Its processing must comply with the applicable provisions in the matter in question and take into account the administrative, accounting, tax, legal, and historical aspects of your Personal Data.
